Here you will find information and application materials for our Roots: Him Mark Lai Family History Project.  Our program offers you the opportunity to discover the roots that link you to the past and place you in the present … to journey back to ancestral beginnings, to explore the land and lives of those who shaped your heritage, and to relate your family’s history to the totality of the Chinese American experience. 

Explore what it means to be Chinese American.  Are you a first generation Chinese American?  A member of the second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth generation?  Do you consider yourself FOB, ABC, a 1.5, Juksing, Hapa, Tsinoy, Chino Latino, Asian American, a Banana?  Join us for a once in a lifetime journey of discovery!
